About the Program
The Documentation of Chinese Christianity program was established by the Yale Divinity Library in 2012 as a collaborative effort of Yale and the Hong Kong Baptist University Library to preserve and make accessible books, periodicals, reports, and archival materials that document Chinese Christianity.
The program forms part of the Latourette Initiative for the Documentation of World Christianity, a proactive program to preserve and provide access to the documentation of world Christianity that has provided funding for the microfilming and digitization of collections throughout the world.
The goals of the Documentation of Chinese Christianity program are to acquire materials for addition to the Day Missions Collection at Yale Divinity Library, to develop its collection of Chinese-language Christian resources, and to make this documentation, as far as possible, available to the public via the Internet.
